West Country and West London
Some bits and pieces I omitted ~
Strummerville / Strummer Campfire at Glastonbury 2009
I fully intended to post a link to these videos the week after Glastonbury and it slipped my mind. 3 Great short videos around the strummer campfire and a good turn out. It looked a brilliant time and no chance of rain. I think it’s clearly becoming a staple of the Glastonbury festival which is pure class. As the years roll by and the next indie hipsters still go to the fest it’s excellent to think they’ll be wondering about Joe and ideally learning too. I miss Joe….

All types of bands are called “punk” now, but it wasn’t just a kind of music; it was what you were. The Roxy only lasted 100 days — just a burst of creativity and energy — and after those 100 days, things got shut down. By the time we got to America, it was called new wave, wasn’t it? We thought that was a haircut.

More photos of the library (and a recipe) from Julie Ann Rhodes ex wife of Duran2 Nick Rhodes.
Finally, following up on a few posts about graffiti and New York in general this clip from Westway hits the spot.
Cheers -- Tim
