New Strummerville events
Good Evening that’ll be another day in the books then. I wanted to share info on a couple of upcoming Strummerville events from opposite corners of the world. First there is the 2nd annual River Rat Pack Tour. The brief synopsis is combine a number of bands, the River Thames and a barge. The outcome five nights of concerts to benefit Strummerville. The events begin in London and then follow the Thames upstream stopping overnight in Windsor, Henley (dead posh), Reading and wrapping up in Oxford. Lots of bands and lots of fun on tap. You can’t beat late summer evenings along the river so hopefully some of you can take in one of the concerts – dates are Aug 30-Sep 5. Details and links below:

From England we cross hemispheres to another event in Sydney scheduled for Sep 19th (you need time to travel). Revolution Rock – A Joe Strummer Tribute Night features four Bands paying homage : King Cannons (Melbourne), Backy Skank, The Rumjacks and Topnovil. The event takes place at the Hopetoun Hotel and if the gig is half as cool as the poster it’s going to be something good. I know we get blog visitors from Sydney (and Earl’s Court) so hopefully someone can share with us how it goes. Please visit the Revolution Rock Sydney site for more news.
