Punk London, Jon Savage

Just a quick follow up to the articles about the Rainbow, Jon Savage, West London high rises and 1977 in general.

From Jon Savage’s official site is this slide show of amazing images that he had

Early Fanzine

Early Fanzine

taken in January of 1977. The collection titled Punk London were to be theĀ  images to accompany a fanzine that year. All of the photos were taken in an area I know well – Notting Dale, which is bordered by the Harrow Road, The Westway and the Shepherds Bush auxiliary filter road. The starkness of these images is just outstanding.

Anything else I write detracts from the images, please take a look and learn more about Jon Savage here.
