Mick Jones on Libertines return, Pat Gilbert writes in

16 July 2009 Under: Mick Jones, Other Bands

A quick post (and so soon after I wrote about the Libertines) and TheQuietus.com report from an interview with Mick Jones last night.

There’s nothing conclusive there but suggestions that a Libertines reunion might be brewing. Until confirmed I’ll sit on the fence, though I’d love to see Mick Jones back as producer. It seems he’d like the same.

Considering how busy Mick is and the struggle for Pete Doherty to stay on the outside the Jail Guitar Doors project might be an integral part of the solution. Stupid gag I know, but if I didn’t suggest it someone else would.

Also, after a rigorous security check to see if it was him – I’m excited to say Pat Gilbert contacted The Clash Blog (see know your writes top right) – Pat wrote ‘Passion is a Fashion’ which I can’t help but fully endorse. More to follow from Pat I hope….(hint hint)
