Bob Gruen to answer questions for the Clash Blog!

Monday morning 7am move yourself to go again. I’m truly pepped up about this post today as I’ve something excellent to share with you. When I started The Clash Blog in addition to the things I’m already doing with it I hoped that it might be possible to conduct small interviews with people within the Clash family. After just a few weeks of posts I’m excited to announce a very special man has been kind enough to do just that.

Bob Gruen has kindly accepted my invitation to answer a few questions about his experience with the Clash as a Photographer and also as a friend. Most Clash fans will be fully aware of exactly who Bob is, it’s perfectly fair to say he is considered amongst the best known and admired Rock Photographers of all time. Mr Gruen had extensive interaction with The Clash from the very early days onward and his collection of images account for so much of the visual impact of the band both then and all the years since. In addition Bob’s resume includes a who’s-who of Rock and New Wave right up to the current day.

members endured long after the band ended, as lasting friendships evolved particularly with Joe Strummer. I’m completely thrilled to have a chance to have him answer some questions for the Clash Blog and I need your help. I have a number of things to ask and I’m sure you are just as qualified to seek other ideas. I want to try and refrain from asking him things he may have already answered a hundred times before.

If you have a question or two you’d like me to consider including  for Bob please email me at Tim (at) TheClashblog.com I’ll complile the best dozen or so questions this week and hope that Bob can answer a few. Please email me no later than 8am Thursday London Time,  or midnight pacific time Wednesday.

Thanks again – this should be great, in my mind Bob and his work have been an enormous part of The Clash enduring for so long.

Tim
