Joe brought passion and enthusiasm to everything he touched. He was charismatic and outspoken and didn’t care what the masses were doing and I loved him for it. Happy Birthday Joe, I have been watching and listening to you all day so far to honour you. “It could make a grown man cry like a girl to see…” Joe Strummer dying in Somerset. You gave us hope and you made us glad that somebody out there cares. You will never be missed John Graham Mellor.

I love Joe Strummer, he is one of my favourite musicians of all time! I don’t have a favourite Clash/Strummer song or album as I love them all. RIP Joe. I miss you man! I wish that we could have met while you were alive. Happy Birthday Joe.                      (Anne F)

Joe was a great person an everything a rocker should be in my view. always humble, always trying new things, always had time for the fans. Having met Mick an seeing how great he is, i would have loved to have seen Joe play an met him too. Strummer is the reason i have a black Telecaster an a tube amp. Besides the lyrics he wrote an everything else he was also a very interesting guitar player to watch. i love watching him chop away at that thing machine gun style. R.I.P. Joe Strummer.
